Aiyapura Resort & Spa - Koh Chang
Aiyapura Resort Koh Chang Situated in the Gulf of Thailand is a tropical island paradise, affectionately called Koh Chang or in English, Elephant Island. Koh Chang is the second largest island (429 square kilometres) in Thailand after Phuket. Despite its size Koh Chang is quite undeveloped. It is a picturesque island of virgin rainforest, untracked jungles, high mountains, spectacular coastlines, fine white sandy beaches, clear blue sea, colourful corals, breathtaking waterfalls and an abundance of marine life.
Aiyapura is an independent hotel located on a forty acre beach-front property in Klong Son Bay. Beautiful Thai style villas and suites are surrounded by green tropical gardens with ocean views, set around a large 30 metre leaf shaped swimming pool. We offer the perfect natural environment for rest and relaxation, and a well-located base to explore all the activities Koh Chang has to offer.
Koh Chang can be reached from Bangkok by direct flight in only 45 minutes, or in 5 hours by car or the hotel van service. Aiyapura is only 5 minutes from the ferry pier (many high end resorts are up to 1 hour from the pier) and White Sand Beach is easily accessible with the hotel shuttle bus.

Aiyapura Spa: Set amidst the natural beauty of the rain forest, the spa offers secluded privacy to pamper the body and refresh the soul. It is housed in a traditional Thai pavilion, beautifully decorated, within a traditional walled garden with outdoor treatment rooms. The experienced therapists use products made from natural extracts to suit all skin types. It has single and double treatment rooms, offering Traditional Thai Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Body Scrubs and Wraps, Facials and other relaxing, rejuvenating therapies.
Thai Cooking School: If there’s one thing guests will take back with them it’s the memory of Thai cuisine. Nowadays it’s easy enough to recreate a lot of your favorite dishes at home, since most ingredients can be easily obtained or substituted. Aiyapura offers cooking classes in the resort. Classes take a few hours and will teach you classic Thai dishes that will impress your friends. Students usually learn the art of fruit and vegetable carving as well. You will have the opportunity to cook dishes yourself, and then dine with fellow students after class.
Elephant Trekking: The Klong Son Elephant Camp or Ban Kwan Chang operates half-day tours from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The cost is 900 Baht inclusive of transportation to and from the resort, drinking water and bananas and coconuts to feed the elephants. A 40-minute ride costs 500 Baht. Ban Kwan Chang Elephant Camp was set up to give retired show and logging elephants a safe and comfortable sanctuary. Ban Kwan Chang is supported by the Asian Elephant Foundation.
